PestOS is software for running a small pest-control business — your accounts, locations, jobs, and the products you apply. This policy explains what we collect, why, and who helps us process it.
The short version: we collect what's needed to run your accounts and the app. We don't sell your data, and we don't use it for advertising.
What we collect
Contact info
Names, email addresses, phone numbers, and physical addresses of your customers and their service locations.
To run your accounts — schedule jobs, find a site, and reach a customer. Addresses are typed in by you; the app does not read your device GPS.
User content
Free-text notes you write on customers, locations, jobs, and work reports.
To keep the record of work you and your crew perform.
Identifiers
Your account ID from our sign-in provider, which also identifies you in analytics.
To sign you in and keep your usage tied to one account across sessions.
Usage data
Product-interaction analytics — which features you use, as counts, booleans, and short labels only. Event data never includes names, addresses, note bodies, or prices (no PII).
To understand how the app is used so we can improve it.
Diagnostics
Crash and error reports when something goes wrong.
To find and fix bugs and keep the app stable.
Who processes your data
Clerk
Sign-in and account identity.
Convex
Stores your accounts, jobs, and notes.
PostHog
Product analytics and crash diagnostics.
What we don't do
We do not sell your personal data.
We do not use your data for advertising or to track you across other apps or websites.
Because we do nothing with advertising identifiers, the app shows no App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt.
We do not collect your device location. Customer addresses are the ones you type in.
How long we keep it
We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. Notes and records you archive stay until you delete them.
Your choices
You can view, edit, and delete the data you enter directly in the app.
